Please note that technical development, pattern engineering, tooling, prototyping and sampling are chargeable professional services and are quoted separately from production. All projects are subject to technical and commercial assessment by SDM. Submission does not guarantee project acceptance or a quotation.

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT COSTS

As a guide, developing a footwear prototype typically costs between R10,000 and R25,000 per style. The final cost depends on the design, materials, components and technical work required. We assess each project before providing a quotation.

REVIEW PROCESS AND RESPONSE TIMES

We aim to review complete project enquiries within 48 hours. During periods of high demand, please allow up to 96 hours for the initial review, excluding weekends and South African public holidays.

Projects are welcome at any stage, from a clearly explained initial concept to a production-ready product. However, as every submission requires technical and commercial assessment, priority is given to complete enquiries that demonstrate a genuine intention to proceed with professional product development and manufacturing.
